Job Responsibility

  • Ensure the statutory financial statements of various legal entities are filed on time and adequately, which includes reviewing the statutory financial statements, participating in discussion with the auditors, and understanding the statutory adjustments
  • Review the account reconciliations of the organization, assess their quality and provide feedback to the teams
  • Participate in Hard close process
  • Provide support on internal controls and accounting policies questions of the finance teams, internal and external auditors and other team members of the company
  • Participate in the analysis of the segregation of duty risks
  • Participate in the preparation of the notes to financial statements and the review of the Management Discussion and Analysis report on a quarterly basis
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly analysis required for month-end
  • Prepare and monitor key performance indicators (KPI) on controls and financial information reporting, and follow-up on the results
  • Participate in the development of accounting policies and Company guidelines
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the team’s project
  • Support Ad Hoc requests and special projects

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Accounting or a professional accounting designation (CPA or equivalent), or be in the process of obtaining it
  • Have between three (3) to five (5) years of experience
  • Learn new systems and functionality rapidly and adapt easily in a continuously evolving environment
  • Have excellent Analytics skills
  • Be a team player
  • Demonstrate innovation, perseverance and engagement
  • Have good spoken and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Demonstrate strong capacity to work under pressure and under tight deadlines in a complex environment
  • Have great knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)

Nice to have

Knowledge of SAP, Workiva and CADENCY would be an asset
