Job Description

Our client located downtown (subway accessible) is looking for a Financial Analyst, to join their team for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role offers a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and an hourly rate of $35-45/hr. The position is focused on supporting fp&a and reporting within a dynamic finance team.

Job Responsibility

  • Review annual and monthly budgets against actual spending
  • Aggregate data from employee expenses and vendor invoices, analyze variances (e.g., event spend, travel), and compile reports showing breakdown and justification for over/underspend
  • Review and ensure accuracy of employee-submitted expense reports
  • Ensure correct coding to specific GL accounts (e.g., meals, parking, wellness, events) and appropriate cost centers, and process payments through internal systems
  • Monitor organizational spending throughout the fiscal year to ensure departments stay strictly within their allocated budgets
  • Identify, analyze, and explain discrepancies between planned budgets and actual spending

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a blended accounting/financial analysis role
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills (proficiency in pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
  • Proficiency in the Korean language (reading, writing, and speaking) is considered a very strong asset
  • Currently enrolled in, or having completed, the final stages of a CPA designation is an asset, but not mandatory
