Our client located downtown (subway accessible) is looking for a Financial Analyst, to join their team for a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role offers a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote) and an hourly rate of $35-45/hr. The position is focused on supporting fp&a and reporting within a dynamic finance team.
Job Responsibility
Review annual and monthly budgets against actual spending
Aggregate data from employee expenses and vendor invoices, analyze variances (e.g., event spend, travel), and compile reports showing breakdown and justification for over/underspend
Review and ensure accuracy of employee-submitted expense reports
Ensure correct coding to specific GL accounts (e.g., meals, parking, wellness, events) and appropriate cost centers, and process payments through internal systems
Monitor organizational spending throughout the fiscal year to ensure departments stay strictly within their allocated budgets
Identify, analyze, and explain discrepancies between planned budgets and actual spending
Requirements
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a blended accounting/financial analysis role
SAP experience is strongly preferred
Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills (proficiency in pivot tables and VLOOKUPs)
Proficiency in the Korean language (reading, writing, and speaking) is considered a very strong asset
Currently enrolled in, or having completed, the final stages of a CPA designation is an asset, but not mandatory
