We are looking for a dedicated Financial Aid Representative to join our team in Chantilly, Virginia. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in supporting students and learners by guiding them through financial aid processes, navigating payment options, and ensuring a seamless experience. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Responsibility:
Respond to inbound calls and inquiries, identifying the needs of callers and providing tailored solutions aligned with organizational policies
Assist students in understanding financing options, payment methods, and university guidelines to address their concerns effectively
Collaborate with Financial Aid Advisors to support day-to-day activities and ensure timely assistance for students
Manage both inbound and outbound communication to maintain queue efficiency and proactively engage students
Operate within a team environment to uphold high-quality service standards, participate in team discussions, and provide constructive feedback
Document and update student information accurately while working closely with Financial Aid Advisors to ensure records are up-to-date
Identify trends and address root causes of common issues by working with the Financial Aid Support Team
Meet performance objectives related to call volume and other key metrics, ensuring consistent results
Process payments and ensure proper updates to student records in collaboration with Financial Aid Advisors
Maintain a strong understanding of university systems, policies, and federal regulations related to financial aid
Requirements:
Strong experience in call center customer service or similar roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel for effective communication and data management
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems and respond to inquiries efficiently
Accurate typing and data entry skills to maintain precise records
Excellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to address complex student needs
Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic work setting
Adaptability to changing environments and willingness to innovate for better outcomes
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care
