Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Aid Analyst/Specialist to join our team in Miramar, Florida, supporting prospective students and their families as they navigate financial aid options and eligibility. This contract opportunity is ideal for someone who combines strong customer service skills with financial or accounting knowledge and enjoys working in a fast-paced, student-focused environment. The position works closely with the Admissions team and requires a regular, in-office presence.

Job Responsibility

  • Guide prospective students and family members through financial aid programs, application steps, and eligibility guidelines
  • Review submitted information for accuracy and completeness while helping individuals understand required documentation
  • Partner with the Admissions team to ensure a smooth handoff and consistent support throughout the enrollment process
  • Respond to questions by phone, email, and in person with professionalism, empathy, and clear explanations
  • Maintain organized records and provide administrative support related to student financial aid activity
  • Assist with evaluating financial information and identifying appropriate next steps based on established policies
  • Manage a high volume of student interactions during peak periods while maintaining service quality and attention to detail
  • Support office coverage needs, including one late day each week and one Saturday per month

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in financial aid, student services, customer support, or a related administrative environment
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with students and families
  • Background in accounting, finance, or related financial processes is preferred
  • Ability to explain eligibility criteria and documentation requirements in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Comfortable working in an in-office setting in Miramar, Florida
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Admissions
  • Proficiency with general administrative tasks and managing multiple priorities in a busy setting
