Job Description

I'm representing a leading wealth management business who are looking to appoint an Adviser Manager within their Bristol team. This firm is a well-established, Bristol-based financial planning and wealth management business with a strong growth story and a genuinely client-first culture. Part of the wider group, they advise over 13,000 clients and manage £3bn+ in assets, giving them solid scale without losing that boutique feel. What makes them stand out is their blend of in-house capability and tech - including their own investment platform so advisers have more control, flexibility, and support when delivering tailored solutions. They've been expanding rapidly through acquisitions, but with a clear focus on maintaining client relationships and supporting advisers rather than disrupting them. This role will see you being responsible for the telephone based team that provide desk based advice and support to private and corporate clients. This is a hybrid/ flexible role - ideally 2-3 days per week in their office in Bristol.

Job Responsibility

  • To lead and develop members of the advisory team across Bristol
  • Take responsibility for the achievement of sales and service standards
  • Upskill advisors
  • To provide operational input and expertise into complex matters or projects as required
  • Provide support to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Heads of Channel, other Senior Management, and the wider management team as required
  • Coach, develop and lead the individual members
  • Perform One to Ones and annual reviews
  • Check the work of team members and providing suitable feedback including call monitoring as appropriate
  • Provide both advice and guidance direct to members.

Requirements

  • Level 4 Qualified - preference to Chartered
  • Knowledge of the financial planning market including products and services
  • Working knowledge of FCA Rules, Guidance Notes and Commitments that apply to the job role
  • Prior experience in an IFA/Wealth Management/management environment.
