Financial Accounting Associate

• Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions
• review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports
• gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports
• review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
• receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies
• collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
• performance of regulatory reporting production tasks
• operate/monitor data sourcing and data ingestion processes
• run defined production processes involving data transformation and necessary adjustment to create required outputs
• operate key production-related controls including investigation and escalation of issues
• perform analytical review of reporting output
• provide relevant control metrics for oversight and governance
• handle issues and errors per policies
• maintain operational documentation
• support continuous improvement of processes and change delivery

6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education

• Experience working in a financial services environment
• financial accounting and/or regulatory reporting experience
• innovative mindset with a track record of process enhancement
• understanding of change management discipline
• good communication skills
• intuitive
• fast learner with good problem solving skills
• strong academic background/degree educated
• knowledge of ‘NextGen’ tools such as Tableau, Confluence, Alteryx, Workiva
