Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accounting Associate. In this role, you will provide support for financial accounting related matters, review activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and regulatory reports, gather financial data, review data for accuracy, receive direction from managers, and collaborate with peers and colleagues.
Job Responsibility:
Provide support for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and control functions
Review basic activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts, financial statements and regulatory reports
Gather financial data for financial and regulatory reports
Review data from the general ledger, unit reports and various financial systems to ensure accuracy
Receive direction from managers and exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of financial control functions in accordance with the company’s internal control policies
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Requirements:
6+ months of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Qualified CA/CFA/ICWA in Finance & Accounting
Significant experience in preparing end to end reconciliations/financial reporting
Understand IFRS, US GAAP and ASC
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
General ledger experience
Strong Knowledge and understanding of accounting, financial reporting, and/or operations
Strong Knowledge and understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles
Ability to trace and investigate transactions to resolve questionable data and apply corrective actions when necessary
Nice to have:
Good Team Player and most importantly is self-starter
Experience with effective written and verbal communications with an onshore team
Ability to track deadlines and submissions on time
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Experience with Oracle, Essbase, Alteryx, will be an added advantage
Liaise and effectively present owned processes to auditors, other teams
