Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a market-leading manufacturing and distribution specialist based in the South-Eastern suburbs. This is a pivotal role for a professional looking to take ownership of end-to-end financial reporting and contribute to the commercial success of a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial records while providing the insights necessary to drive strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and maintain accurate balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow reports
  • Lead the closing processes, ensuring all journal entries and reconciliations are completed to a high standard
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing detailed variance analysis to the leadership team
  • Maintain strict adherence to IFRS/GAAP standards and internal corporate policies
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and ensure all tax obligations are met
  • Identify and implement efficiencies within the finance function to enhance reporting accuracy

Requirements

  • Qualified CPA/CA
  • Ideally 3–5 years of experience within a similar Financial Accounting role, preferably within manufacturing, logistics, or a related sector
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential
  • Experience with large-scale ERP systems is an advantage
  • Exceptional attention to detail
