Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accountant to support profit and loss functions in Hedge Fund Accounting. The role works closely with front office business to perform quantitative hedging analysis and model bonds for new deals. The position requires a subject matter expert with in-depth understanding of derivatives/hedge accounting rules to manage daily/monthly accounting and financial reports.

Job Responsibility:

Provide consultation to more experienced leadership for financial accounting matters
Perform complex activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and developing financial statements
Gather and review financial data for financial and regulatory reports
Review data from general ledger and financial systems for accuracy
Prepare and review account reconciliations and certifications
Analyze projects relating to financial accounting procedures
Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with internal controls
Provide functional advice and training to individuals
Provide support for compliance and risk management requirements
Collaborate with stakeholders throughout the enterprise
Support profit and loss functions in Hedge Fund Accounting
Perform quantitative hedging analysis
Model bonds for new deals
Manage daily/monthly accounting and derivatives accounting financial reports

Requirements:

2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience
Accounting background
Fixed Income product knowledge
SQL knowledge
Experience in Python
In-depth understanding of derivatives/hedge accounting rules (FASB ASC Topics 815)

Nice to have:

UAT experience

Subject matter expert in derivatives/hedge accounting
