Job Description:

This role will require investment accounting experience for GAAP and STAT. Analyze and evaluate data in one or more specialty areas including, but not limited to business operations/processes, budgets, and financial systems. Tasks may include, preparing financial reports, researching and reconciling general ledger accounts, reviewing, improving and entering journal entries, technical report writing, monitoring budget, maintaining records, analyzing data, and developing budget forecasts.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze and evaluate data in one or more specialty areas including, but not limited to business operations/processes, budgets, and financial systems
Prepare financial reports
Research and reconcile general ledger accounts
Review, improve and enter journal entries
Technical report writing
Monitor budget
Maintain records
Analyze data
Develop budget forecasts
Perform analysis of data and application of applicable professional principles and standards
Apply knowledge of accounting functions or principles, general business practices, collection procedures, and/or applicable computer systems
Demonstrate ability to research, investigate, analyze, reconcile, and evaluate data
Interact frequently with internal and external customers using both verbal and written communication skills to discuss financial processes or issues
Work with both external and internal auditors on financial requests
Implement and maintain internal financial controls and measures
Has knowledge of state and federal laws, rules, and regulations

Requirements:

0-2 years of experience in accounting or finance in the healthcare industry and/or equivalent accounting experience (Level 1)
2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance in the healthcare industry and/or equivalent accounting experience (Level 2)
5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance in the healthcare industry and/or equivalent accounting experience (Level 3)
College Degree in Accounting (Including anticipated degree) or equivalent finance degree with accounting experience
Investment accounting experience for GAAP and STAT
Understanding of GAAP and STAT accounting principles
Intermediate skill in use of office equipment
Intermediate PC proficiency
Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet, database and word processing
Prioritize, organize and self-manage in a high-volume environment
