Job Description

We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team and support Sigma Healthcare’s financial accounting and reporting processes. Reporting to the Group Accounting and Reporting Manager, this role will see you play a key part in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation, reporting and external audit support. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong financial accounting experience who is looking to grow their career in a large, complex and evolving organisation.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the month-end close and consolidation process
  • Prepare journals, analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly reporting packs and commentary
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc analysis
  • Liaise with external auditors and coordinate audit requests
  • Contribute to half-year and annual reporting for release to the ASX
  • Support process improvements, controls and documentation across finance
  • Get involved in ad-hoc finance, commercial, operational and sustainability projects

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related field
  • CA/CPA qualification, or working towards
  • Strong financial accounting experience
  • Experience supporting month-end, reconciliations and reporting processes
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Experience with large ERP systems, SAP S/4HANA or BI tools will be highly regarded
  • Exposure to ASX reporting, leases, share-based payments or external audit will be viewed favourably
