Northline is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Financial Accountant to join our team on a fixed-term contract to support the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting. Job Responsibility:
Ensure all end of month, quarterly and annual reporting is completed accurately and within required timeframes
Prepare Business Activity Statements, Fringe Benefits Tax returns, Taxable Payments Reporting and Payment Times Reporting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Prepare annual financial statements and tax returns in line with accounting standards
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain the fixed asset register with regular reconciliations
Prepare and maintain weekly cash flow reporting to support business decision-making
Prepare monthly Board papers, quarterly shareholder reporting and bank reporting
Complete ABS surveys and other statutory reporting requirements as required
Oversee and manage expense processes across the business
Identify, recommend and support the implementation of system and process enhancements, including supporting the transition to a new finance management system
Requirements:
Experience in a similar role with a degree in Commerce, Accounting or equivalent
CA or CPA qualification preferred
Strong understanding of financial reporting, tax obligations and reconciliation processes
Highly developed analytical capability with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insight
Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate work
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
Positive, professional and proactive approach to work
Ability to lead, support and motivate within a team environment
