Job Description:

The Financial Accountant Specialist ensures proper accounting for corporate-level activities, including general and administrative (G&A) expenses, intercompany expenses, project development costs, fixed assets, and inventory and cash activities.

Job Responsibility:

Maintain system of intercompany invoicing and payments
Maintain accounting records for internal procurement function
Maintain parts inventory system
Assist with accounting for projects in development
Record and analyze corporate financial transactions in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Record fixed assets and depreciation of EDP and EDPR Corporate
Prepare reconciliations to properly support account balances
Prepare required consolidating and eliminating journal entries
Perform analyses of financial statement variances
Maintain chart of accounts
Maintain relevant data in SAP system
Additional duties as required

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Between 3 and 6 years of relevant experience (public accounting experience preferred)
CPA/Chartered Accountant Certification (preferred)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel
some knowledge of SAP preferred
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving ability
Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment

Nice to have:

CPA/Chartered Accountant Certification
public accounting experience
knowledge of SAP
