Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant with professional fluency in Spanish and English. The role is responsible for accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and timely compliance activities, while partnering closely with both local teams and head office teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Preparation of month end journals for the LATAM ledgers, including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, foreign exchange, and intercompany entries
  • Completion of balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules, including bank and intercompany reconciliations
  • Providing support to local tax and accounting advisors, including preparation of tax/statutory journals and annual return documentation
  • Managing intercompany and cross border settlements, investigating variances, and clearing aged items
  • Supporting internal and external audits by preparing workpapers, responding to queries, and following up on required actions
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements, strengthening controls and operational efficiency
  • Communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders in both Spanish and English
  • translate documentation as required

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English
  • 3+ years’ experience in financial accounting, ideally within multi entity or international environments
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
  • Strong technical accounting capability and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems such as Netsuite
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines, prioritise workloads, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
