Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to support IFRS 15 financial reporting within Vodafone Ireland. This role sits within the Financial Operations team and works closely with Reporting and Finance colleagues. It offers an opportunity to strengthen technical accounting expertise while collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders and contributing to accurate and compliant financial reporting.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the delivery of monthly IFRS 15 reporting to Group, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness
  • Support monthly Group reporting and annual statutory reporting in line with IFRS 15 requirements
  • Act as a key point of contact for IFRS 15-related queries from Group Reporting
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and support a strong controls environment
  • Collaborate with the Shared Service Centre in Pune, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
  • Support internal audit processes, including responding to queries and strengthening controls
  • Assist with external statutory audits, including preparing deliverables and coordinating stakeholder inputs
  • Identify inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements, including automation and AI-enabled solutions

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally IFRS 15
  • Knowledgeable in controls, process documentation, and audit practices
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across teams, including offshore delivery models
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements using digital tools
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and apply sound judgement
  • Confident communicator, able to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders

  • Lead and support revenue recognition activities in accordance with IFRS 15, including contract analysis, identification of performance obligations, and assessment of revenue timing
  • Monitor and account for public projects, including revenue and cost tracking, margin analysis, and periodic performance reviews
