Job Description

GBS Record To Report-Fixed Asset Team, Manila is committed to provide exceptional customer service within The Hershey Company, by assuring prudent stewardship of the Company’s assets. The Fixed Asset Accountant will perform various functions in ensuring effective maintenance of the organization’s fixed assets. The Fixed Asset process includes, but are not limited to, 1) Creation, Maintenance and Closing of Internal Orders related to Capital Asset projects; 2) Transfers, Disposals and Retirement of Assets via Hershey Capital Asset Realocation and Disposal (CARD) system and 3) Fixed Asset related month end reports. This role is expected to Partner with US Fixed Assets team, and will be working together to ensure process excellence, continues improvement, business partnership and service delivery thru define metrics, is met or exceeded.

Job Responsibility

  • Capital Asset Administration (40%): Internal Order Maintenance (IO creations, changes, closures)
  • Control related activities (SOX Controls Reports)
  • Year-End Activities (Transferring of Miscellaneous Capital and Budgets to the following year)
  • Capital Asset Realocation and Disposal System (CARD) System Administration (30%): Handle related request on que on the Hershey CARD System (Disposal, Retirement, Asset Sale, Asset Transfer)
  • Capital Asset Month-End Reports and Account Reconciliation (10%): Deliver identified month end reports (IS Chargeback Computation, Capital Retainage, Idle Asset Reserve, Open IO Analysis)
  • Perform Account Reconciliation using Blackline System
  • SOX Controls and Process Review (10%): Perform various SOX controls
  • Oversee completeness and accuracy of SLA for the team
  • Oversee the whole FA process (IO, CARDS and reports)
  • Others (10%): Audit Support (preparation and submission of documents for internal/external audit)
  • Continuous Process Improvement (driving major work process changes)
  • Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Tracking, Issue Resolution and Service Delivery

Requirements

  • BS Accountancy, or any Business course with higher level of Accounting
  • At least 2 years of Fixed Asset experience
  • Certified Public Accountant, preferred
  • Proficient understanding of US GAAP on Fixed Assets
  • Basic knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint)
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Good Interpersonal Communication Skills

  • Amenable to a shifting schedule of mid shift (3 pm to 12 mn for 3 weeks) and night shift (8 pm to 5 am for 1 week)
