Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accountant to lead the Global Payroll Accounting team through developing new processes, enhancing existing controls, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll related transactions.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the Global Payroll Accounting team through developing new processes, enhancing existing controls, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll related transactions
Act as lead Consultant for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and other control functions
Provide technical expertise regarding accounting issues, regulatory information and research
Provide technical assistance on major transactions and product development
Perform ledger reconciliation, settlement and deposits of payroll payments
Invoicing and funding of deductions, taxes, wires, GL expenses
Provide data for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reports
Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control
Articulate the impact of policy changes to management
Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with company's internal controls policies
Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business
Identify compliance and risk management requirements

Requirements:

2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years' experience in payroll
2+ years' experience with accounting software
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
Advanced Excel Skills working with large data sets
Experience working with Workday Payroll
Ability to take initiative, identify and present process/operational enhancements
Partner with project teams and IT developers to automate complex manual processes
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
