Job Description:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Financial Accountant to lead the Global Payroll Accounting team through developing new processes, enhancing existing controls, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll related transactions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the Global Payroll Accounting team through developing new processes, enhancing existing controls, and ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll related transactions
  • Act as lead Consultant for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and other control functions
  • Provide technical expertise regarding accounting issues, regulatory information and research
  • Provide technical assistance on major transactions and product development
  • Perform ledger reconciliation, settlement and deposits of payroll payments
  • Invoicing and funding of deductions, taxes, wires, GL expenses
  • Provide data for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reports
  • Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control
  • Articulate the impact of policy changes to management
  • Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with company's internal controls policies
  • Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business
  • Identify compliance and risk management requirements

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years' experience in payroll
  • 2+ years' experience with accounting software
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel Skills working with large data sets
  • Experience working with Workday Payroll
  • Ability to take initiative, identify and present process/operational enhancements
  • Partner with project teams and IT developers to automate complex manual processes
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
