Our client, a high-profile Federal Government agency, is seeking a high-caliber Finance Systems Project Manager to lead the rapid replacement of their legacy TechOne system. With the current platform sunsetting on January 30th, this is a critical, "on-the-ball" appointment focused on the urgent procurement and implementation of integrated Finance, Payroll, HR, and Expense Management solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Requirements & Scoping: Review and document comprehensive business requirements, ensuring alignment with the organisation's operational needs
  • Procurement Leadership: Navigate the RFT process via the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) and Procurement Australia frameworks
  • Implementation Oversight: Act as the primary project lead, assisting ERP specialists to ensure all deliverables are met and complex system integrations are successful
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Work alongside the internal ICT team to ensure a seamless transition from the legacy environment to the new systems
  • Quality Assurance: Match technical deliverables against business utility to ensure the organisation gains maximum value from the new software

Requirements:

  • ERP Expertise: A proven track record of managing end-to-end ERP implementations (specifically Finance and Payroll modules)
  • Procurement Acumen: Strong SME-level understanding of government procurement processes and tender management
  • Urgency & Precision: The ability to work within an extremely tight timeframe (January 30 deadline) without compromising on quality, compliance, or documentation
