The Finance Systems Business Analyst is the bridge between the finance business and the Group Finance Systems team. This role is responsible for capturing, translating, and managing requirements from finance stakeholders — ensuring that technology solutions in D365 F&O and connected platforms or supporting systems genuinely reflect business needs. The BA owns the requirements lifecycle from discovery through sign-off, and plays a key role in UAT, change management, and continuous improvement across finance systems. A significant and immediate focus of this role is the Billing Experience 2.0 initiative — a strategic, cross-functional programme launching this year to fundamentally rethink and modernise both internal and external payment processes across the group.
Job Responsibility:
Represent the Group Finance Systems team within the Payment Experience 2.0 cross-functional programme team
Lead requirements gathering for all GFS workstreams within the programme, covering internal payment processes (AP, treasury, intercompany), order-to-cash cycle (Master data, AR, bank) and external-facing payment flows
Work closely with programme stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, Operations, and Technology to ensure end-to-end process design is coherent and well-documented
Own the GFS-side test strategy for Payment Experience 2.0, coordinating UAT with finance business users and managing sign-off
Elicit, document, and manage functional requirements from finance stakeholders across GL, AP, AR, budgeting, and reporting
Act as the primary liaison between the finance business and the GFS team, translating business needs into clear functional specifications
Maintain a prioritised backlog of change requests in collaboration with the Head of GFS
Work with developers and architects to validate that proposed solutions meet business requirements before build commences
Support configuration and functional design decisions within D365 F&O, ensuring alignment with finance process best practice
Contribute to solution documentation including functional design documents, process maps, and training materials
Own and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) — writing test scripts, managing test cycles, and tracking defect resolution
Support change management and user communications around system changes and new releases
Assist with end-user training and hypercare during go-live periods
Proactively identify opportunities to improve finance processes and system usage
Stay current with D365 F&O release waves and assess impact on the business
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Business Analyst on ERP implementations or functional consulting
Strong understanding of core finance processes: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and budgeting
Experience in payment processes — internal or external — including AP/AR automation, payment runs, bank integration, or customer payment journeys
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional programme teams alongside non-finance stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Technology, Product)
Hands-on experience with D365 Finance & Operations or a comparable ERP platform (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Experience writing functional specifications, process maps, and test scripts
Exposure to Agile or structured project delivery methodologies
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills — able to work effectively with both finance and technical audiences
Analytical and structured thinker with a high attention to detail
Self-starter who can manage their own workload and prioritise across multiple concurrent demands
Collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
English skills are essential
Nice to have:
D365 F&O functional knowledge across finance modules
MS Vision, Jira, Confluence (Atlassian Suite) or equivalent project/backlog management tooling
Romanian or Portuguese language skills
