Job Description:

Play a crucial role in driving financial outcomes, maintaining commercial discipline, and implementing operational improvements across customer segments. Deliver financial management expertise and analysis to support Telstra's financial strategic direction and enable the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on financial performance.

Job Responsibility:

Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment on financial matters
Month-End Tasks: Execute month-end financial processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting
Forecasting: Develop accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making and resource allocation
Financial Analysis: Analyse historical and current financial data to assess the segment's financial health and identify trends
Supporting Business Initiatives: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business initiatives
Finance Operational Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and efficiency
Reporting: Prepare clear and concise financial reports for management and other relevant stakeholders

Requirements:

CPA, CMA, or CA fully qualified
Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting or related course
Proven experience in Finance Management (forecasting, analysis, reporting, and variance)
Experience in management accounting
Desire to build leadership skills with genuine commitment to building capabilities
Initiative: A proactive mindset to address issues related to operational performance and financial trajectory
Autonomy and Collaboration: the ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in financial modelling and data-backed decision-making
Stakeholder management and presentation skills
Passion for numbers and improving financial performance

Nice to have:

Background in SAP
Big 4 experience
Experience in revenue management
IFRS15 knowledge
