Job Description:

Financial Specialist role at IKEA involves maintaining financial records, processing invoices, managing expense reports, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Additionally, the role entails providing administrative support to the store and participating in special projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts payable/receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets
  • Assist in the preparation, verification, and processing of invoices
  • Ensure timely and accurate receipt and payment of all bills and invoices
  • Prepare and process expense reports and ensure proper documentation and approval
  • Perform daily sales reconciliation and statement posting
  • Assist in bank reconciliation, and any required reconciliation from time to time
  • Maintain up-to-date and organized records and files of financial documents
  • Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments to resolve account discrepancies and issues
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed
  • Manage administrative purchases for the store
  • Provide administrative support to the store as needed and assist with special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • At least 3 years working experience in accounting role
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Dynamics MVBC will be an advantage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Basic knowledge of financial statements and reporting
  • Exposure in retail industry will be an advantage
