Job Description:

The role involves supporting the oversight and monitoring of treasury risk activities in Citibank Europe Plc (CEP), headquartered in Dublin. The team is responsible for ensuring adherence to Citi’s policies on Liquidity Risk, Non-Traded Market Risk, and Capital Adequacy. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining Risk Management programs, interacting with regulators and senior stakeholders, and supporting key global risk projects.

Job Responsibility:

Overseeing the design, development, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class Risk Management programs, policies and practices
Supporting engagements with regulators on key legal entity related asset-liability management matters
Liaising with global and specialist teams to facilitate consistency and standardisation of controls
Providing oversight and guidance over the assessment of broad complex issues
Supporting Global Risk projects to improve accuracy of Risk assessment
Reviewing and approving risk exposures, related reporting and monitoring compliance with risk limits/triggers
Interaction with other key risk seniors to improve accuracy of regulatory and management reporting
Liaising with regulatory examiners, Internal Audit, and external auditors on important Risk issues
Supporting the challenge and oversight of ICAAP/ILAAP, Risk Appetite Statements, Stress Testing
Participating in new product approval reviews to ensure alignment with Citi’s risk policies
Participating in senior committee/governance forums including CEP ALCO, Technical Review Forum and Models governance
Assessing risk when business decisions are made.

Requirements:

Degree in Quantitative or Financial discipline is preferred
5-8 years relevant experience within risk management, treasury or support functions with exposure to balance sheet, financial products, financial/risk analysis
Understanding of treasury products – securities, derivatives, and a broad mix of underlying asset classes as well as knowledge of ALM, Liquidity, Non-Traded Market Risk/IRRBB and Capital models and regulatory framework will be an advantage
Proven interaction with auditors / regulators and understanding of applicable best practice guidelines and regulations
Up-to-date working knowledge of regulatory requirements and change, specifically those from Basel and European regulatory authorities
Subject Matter Knowledge in asset-liability management, financial instruments, risk metrics and Risk Management
Advanced analytical, technical, and quantitative skills
Strong communication skills and reputation for building effective relationships with stakeholders
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel/VBA, Word, PowerPoint)
Project management skills
Business acumen to interact with partners in Risk, Treasury, Markets, and other support Functions Highly developed presentation skills including concise and clear messaging.
