Job Description:

The position within Balance Sheet Reconciliation is responsible for reconciliation of Balance Sheet Accounts for specific business segment. The role supports the reconciliation segment leads in driving compliance with policies.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure Balance Sheet accounts assigned have been reconciled in line with BSRS Policy and standard/desktop documented procedure
ensure reconciliation meets standards and all exceptions have been reported
support reconciliation segment leads in implementing strategic ledger
coordinate and support audits related to Balance Sheet Reconciliation
drive timely, complete and accurate attestation of GL account keys
partner with teams to improve efficiency, effectiveness, productivity, and/or control
drive best in class knowledge management practices
provide vocal leadership in team meetings
mentor junior colleagues
assess risk effectively when business decisions are made
support audits and create effective control environment.

Requirements:

Extensive years (2-5) of proven experience related to accounting, financial reporting and/or product control
strong ability to analyze complex set of financial data and provide deeper insight on US GAAP/IFRS preferably in banking/financial services environment
ability to influence peers and business partners to take action necessary to achieve goals
extensive experience in working with a variety of financial platforms
proficiency with MS Project and MS Office Suite
financial management competencies
demonstrated ability to manage in a complex and dynamic environment
team building and mentoring skills
self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions
ability to drive implementations by motivating and supporting multiple project teams
ability to foster and develop teams in distributed geographic environments
demonstrated ability to manage risks and enhance controls in complex financial accounting processes
ability to work across functional areas.
