Job Description:

Join our dynamic team as a Finance Project Assistant, where collaboration and innovation thrive in a fully on-site environment. Be part of our mission to streamline financial processes! This position will support the Finance Project Manager in operational finance tasks, manage financial data, and assist with reporting for publishing agreements and institutional partnerships.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the Finance Project Manager with operational finance and reporting tasks related to publishing agreements and institutional partnerships
  • Collect, clean, and organize financial and usage data related to publishing agreements and partnerships
  • Prepare data exports and supporting files for financial proposals related to institutional and publishing agreements
  • Support the preparation of datasets for quarterly financial overviews for Society Journals, including payment and invoicing coordination
  • Maintain tracking files for institutional agreements and publishing contracts
  • Document internal processes related to reporting, invoicing, and financial workflows
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support for finance-related projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a university or higher education institution
  • Fluent in English (C1)
  • German (C1) is a plus
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft O365 / Excel
  • Intermediate understanding of data cleaning and structuring
  • Intermediate grasp of basic financial concepts
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A structured and organized approach to managing responsibilities
  • The ability to meet deadlines is expected at an advanced level
  • A curious mindset and willingness to learn
