Finance & Operations Manager | Series A AI B2B SaaS Start-Up | London / Hybrid

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the relationship with outsourced accountants, ensuring VAT, payroll, and statutory filings are delivered accurately and on time
  • Own the timely month-end close and management accounts
  • Own budget tracking, cash flow monitoring, and burn rate visibility, flagging material variances to the Founder
  • Produce board-level financial reporting and investor updates to a high standard
  • Lead the setup and ongoing compliance of the US subsidiary, working with legal counsel and external advisers
  • Support the Founder on FP&A: scenario planning, financial modelling, and Series B preparation
  • Manage the cap table, EMI options scheme, and shareholder documentation in coordination with legal counsel
  • Oversee revenue operations: raise and track invoices, manage accounts receivable, and ensure billing accuracy
  • Identify and implement process improvements across finance and operations, including automation opportunities to build scalable infrastructure as the business grows

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience managing finance operations in a scaling startup or VC-backed environment
  • Track record of managing outsourced accounting relationships and owning statutory compliance end-to-end
  • Self-starter, able to operate independently in a lean team and manage multiple priorities without close oversight

Nice to have

  • Experience setting up or managing a US subsidiary or cross-border entity
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS or enterprise technology environment
  • Familiarity with cap table tools and EMI options administration
  • An interest in building scalable processes through automation and AI tooling
