Finance officer

• Financial Processing & Data Integrity: Facilitate transaction processing and extract data from SAP to ensure all financial records are accurate and complete
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely management reports and assist in producing annual financial statements and forecasts
• Stakeholder Advisory: Act as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders to resolve moderately complex financial enquiries and provide budget advice
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist with team process mapping
• Operational & Project Support: Provide research, analysis, and administrative support for various project initiatives and agency objectives
• Compliance & Risk Management: Manage financial risks and ensure all activities comply with legislative requirements and APS standards

• Australian Citizenship (Federal Government Requirement)
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, reporting standards and the general ledger
• Intermediate to Advance Excel skills
