We are currently recruiting a part-time (0.6 FTE) Finance Officer to join a locally owned engineering consultancy. You’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting the business with timely reporting.
Job Responsibility:
Process Accounts payable and receivable
Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
Invoicing and expense processing
Lodge reports - BAS, payroll, and superannuation obligations, WorkCover
Generate Budgets
Assist with month-end and year-end reporting
General admin support / data entry
Ensure compliance with ATO requirements
Liaise with accountants and external stakeholders as needed
Requirements:
Cert IV in Bookkeeping, Finance or equivalent
Proven experience as a bookkeeper in an autonomous role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency with Xero and Excel
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Able to relay financial information to others in a clear, concise manner
