Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a part-time (0.6 FTE) Finance Officer to join a locally owned engineering consultancy. You’ll play a key role in managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting the business with timely reporting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process Accounts payable and receivable
  • Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
  • Invoicing and expense processing
  • Lodge reports - BAS, payroll, and superannuation obligations, WorkCover
  • Generate Budgets
  • Assist with month-end and year-end reporting
  • General admin support / data entry
  • Ensure compliance with ATO requirements
  • Liaise with accountants and external stakeholders as needed

Requirements:

  • Cert IV in Bookkeeping, Finance or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper in an autonomous role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Xero and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Able to relay financial information to others in a clear, concise manner
