A leading Financial Services provider is seeking a meticulous and professional Junior Accountant to join their high-performing team on a 6-month temporary arrangement. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role is a critical addition to support the team through the busy year-end period and assist with a key system migration project. This is an immediate start (pre or post-Easter) for the right candidate!
Job Responsibility:
Preparing daily activities including cash collections, settlements, redraws, and discharges
Preparing mortgage transfers and funding requirements for securitisation trusts, including loan sale documentation
Supporting the full P2P process—invoice verification, processing, and resolving vendor discrepancies
Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and supporting the annual audit process for group entities
Working alongside the Technology team on the testing and implementation of a new core system
completing quarterly regulatory surveys
Managing borrower loan tasks and handling professional enquiries via phone and email
Requirements:
2–5 years within an Accounting, AP, or Finance Operations role
Strong proficiency in Excel and modern ERP/Accounting systems
Experience with complex bank reconciliations is essential
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
Nice to have:
Experience within Financial Services, Lending, or Real Estate is highly regarded but not essential
