Job Responsibility:
Ensure invoices and delivery dockets are being matched with corresponding approved purchase order and have adequate authorisation
Ensure correct General Ledger codes are consistently being used and recorded on all invoices
Ensure payment runs are performed on a timely basis in line with agreed credit terms
Prepare payment runs for approval and attach all supporting documentation and present to the Director of Finance and General Manager
Liaise with external suppliers and internal claimants to achieve compliance with systems, procedures and processes
Prepare daily revenue report and F&B covers and submit to Director of Finance/ Accountant for review
Review daily rebate vouchers and corrections of the day report to ensure appropriately approved and explained and accuracy of adjustment
Review daily paperwork for each F&B and Front Office cashier to ensure they have properly balanced at the end of their shift
Ensure coded checks, voids and discount are recorded correctly
To count and verify money in cashier envelopes
To prepare bank deposit slips for cash, cheques, foreign exchange and credit cards. Arrange pick-up of daily banking
To prepare daily house bank statement
To prepare General Cashier’s daily report and monthly summary
To provide all cashiers’ daily change including weekend floats and change for special occasions when required
To undertake any other duties when required by management including assisting with general ledger reconciliations
Attend meetings as required
Meet the grooming standards of the hotel as set out in the Associate Handbook
Anticipate guest’s needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates
Comply with and abide by all hotel polices and procedure and information as outlined in Associate handbook
Comply with Marriott’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and the Policy against Insider training at all times
To work as and where directed by Management plus follow all reasonable requests
Requirements:
