We are looking for a Finance Officer (Service Charges) to join our team and support the delivery of clear, accurate, and transparent service charge management across Wales. This role plays a vital part in supporting residents and ensuring services are funded and delivered effectively. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the organisation, contributing to safer homes and stronger communities. Job Responsibility:
Support annual production of service charges for rented, homeowner and Right to Buy properties
maintain and reconcile information across accounting system, service charge module and housing systems
carry out variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
prepare and maintain accruals and prepayments for site expenditure
monitor budgets
support allocation of costs such as staff time and utilities
review financial information to identify trends, resolve issues and ensure value for money
respond to service charge queries from residents and staff
collaborate with colleagues across the organisation
Requirements:
Motivated and detail-focused finance professional
experience with financial data, systems and spreadsheets
calm and organised approach to managing deadlines and priorities
customer-focused mindset
ability to explain financial information clearly
strong team player
attention to accuracy
willingness to investigate, question and improve processes
existing service charge experience or finance professional keen to develop
