Finance Officer role supporting healthy, responsible finance across the organisation by managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring financial foundations are strong for critical work on climate change, biodiversity loss and global inequality.
Job Responsibility:
Manage accounts receivable processes
Ensure all funds owed are collected and recorded accurately and on time
Track incoming payments, maintain accurate records and conduct reconciliations
Prepare aged debtor reports and follow up on outstanding balances
Contribute to process improvements to enhance cash flow stability
Oversee staff expenses and credit card management
Perform weekly multi-currency bank reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end processes and audit preparation
Reconcile funder accounts and resolve unallocated or misposted payments
Process international payments and manage foreign exchange considerations
Administer the credit card portal
Prepare debtor and cash flow reports for review
Support tax reporting, compliance checks and donor financial reporting
Act as a key contact for AR and expense-related queries
Requirements:
To be AAT qualified or possess equivalent experience
Proven experience in accounts receivable and staff expense management
Strong experience in cash receipt processing and debt collection
Experience working with financial systems and accounting software
Familiarity with multi-currency accounting and international payments
Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
High accuracy and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving abilities
