We are looking for a Finance Manager to support planning, reporting, and analysis activities for a team based in San Francisco, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented finance specialist who can provide strong insight into business performance through accurate forecasting, thoughtful modeling, and dependable monthly close support. The role will contribute to financial visibility and decision-making by translating data into clear recommendations for stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Lead monthly close activities by reviewing financial results, resolving variances, and helping ensure timely and accurate reporting
Build and maintain financial models that support budgeting, scenario planning, and strategic decision-making
Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports that highlight trends, risks, and performance drivers
Analyze operating results against forecasts and budgets, identifying key variances and explaining underlying causes
Develop forward-looking projections to support planning cycles and business performance reviews
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and improve the quality of financial analysis
Present concise financial insights and recommendations that help leadership make informed decisions
Requirements:
Proven experience in finance management, financial planning, or a related analytical role
Strong hands-on background in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Demonstrated ability to create and refine financial models for forecasting and performance analysis
Solid understanding of budgeting, variance analysis, and business performance metrics
Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a part-time schedule of 10-20 hours per week
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial findings clearly to business partners
High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail in financial work
