As our Finance Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring Fiducial’s financial health, stability, and scalability as we continue to grow. You’ll take full ownership of the company’s financial operations, from budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to funding administration and strategic planning. You’ll work closely with the CEO and leadership team to translate numbers into insights, support data-driven decisions, and ensure the company operates with financial clarity and control. You’ll also play a key role in professionalizing and automating our financial systems, preparing the company for future growth, funding rounds, and compliance requirements. This position is suited for someone who enjoys both strategy and execution, combining the analytical mindset of a controller with the hands-on approach of a scale-up operator.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee day-to-day financial administration, including invoicing, payments, and expense management
Maintain oversight of the general ledger and coordinate with our external bookkeeper and accountant
Ensure all financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date
Develop, monitor, and report on budgets, forecasts, and cash flow plans in collaboration with the leadership team
Manage supplier and customer invoicing, project-based cost allocations, and reimbursements
Prepare clear and concise monthly and quarterly financial reports for management, shareholders, and partners
Support funding and grant administration, ensuring compliance with subsidy and tender requirements
Analyse costs, margins, and project financials to provide actionable insights and recommendations
Prepare financial documentation for audits, funding applications, and government reporting
Optimize and document financial workflows and controls to support a scaling organization
Implement and maintain digital tools and templates for efficient reporting, forecasting, and budget tracking (both at company and project level)
Collaborate with the Business Operations, Office Manager and Project teams to align finance with operational and project processes
Support the CEO in strategic financial planning, investment readiness, fundraising, and business case development
Develop financial models for tenders, partnerships, and multi-year growth scenarios
Ensure Fiducial’s financial structure supports scalability, funding, and compliance
Act as the main point of contact for accountants, auditors, subsidy partners, and financial institutions
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in financial management, controlling, or accounting, ideally in a start-up, scale-up, or technology-driven environment
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Experience with Dutch accounting standards (RJ / NL GAAP) and working with external accountants or controllers
Proficiency with Excel, accounting software, and (ideally) Notion
Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
A proactive, hands-on mindset, you like to make things work better and see results
Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a strong plus)
Full-time availability (40 hours per week) and ability to work from our Delft office at least part of the week
