The Finance Manager leads the Settlements division to successfully and consistently deliver the settlements work programme across New Zealand and Australia. The role will serve as a business partner with key senior leadership across Finance, Customer, Risk & Compliance to provide key insights, risks, and opportunities. The Finance Manager will also leverage innovation in technology, BI, and AI to run a best-in-class function.
Job Responsibility:
Analyse reports on the acquiring fleet to identify data points of interest and their drivers, performing additional investigation where required.
Work collaboratively with other business units to address new or emerging trends and assist with capability-building initiatives.
Lead and coach the Merchant Settlements Team of 7 effectively, proactively managing performance, and developing capabilities.
Review of the Daily Transaction Extract to match amounts receivable against Smartpay revenue and amounts payable to merchants.
Lead the team in managing balances in settlement accounts and clear surpluses to operating accounts on time to support effective company cashflow management.
Analyse data, including issues and delays, to identify issues and trends that may be negatively impacting customer experience and collaborate with key stakeholders to investigate compliance issues
Requirements:
Qualified Accountant (CA/CPA or equivalent), ideally with leadership experience
Ability to analyse large data sets and pull out the key trends
Change agent: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change.
