Citadel Source is delighted to partner an evolving Engineering business to support the recruitment of their new Finance Manager. This business operates in the Engineering space, supporting the delivery of complex projects across the UK and internationally. The Finance Manager will join a global organisation as part of the UK finance function. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will manage a team of two Management Accountants and play a key role in delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting across the UK business.

Job Responsibility

  • Line management and development of a team of 2 Management Accountants
  • Ownership and delivery of the UK month-end management accounting close
  • Preparation of accurate management accounts
  • Maintenance of strong balance sheet control
  • Delivery of high-quality management information
  • Management of external audit processes for UK subsidiaries
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for UK entities
  • Support for corporate tax and treasury teams
  • Ensuring compliance with group accounting policies and internal control frameworks
  • Driving continuous improvement across the close process
  • Delivery of finance projects and wider group initiatives

Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
  • 3-5 years post-qualified experience gained within a large UK group or global organisation
  • Strong technical grounding in management accounting and statutory reporting
  • Proven experience of leading teams and working in fast-paced, change-driven environments
  • Comfortable operating in the detail and at a higher strategic level
