The Finance Manager - Woolworths at Work is a commercially focused business partnering role that will work hand in hand with the Woolworths at Work leadership team to analyse current business performance, identify opportunities to enhance financial performance, provide financial support for strategic decisions as well as shape the future strategic direction of the business. This is an exciting opportunity, involving business partnering on short term trading and performance whilst also shaping strategic priorities for the future. It is accountable for leading and developing a high performing finance team and contributing to the strategic direction of eComX.
Job Responsibility:
Strategic Business Partnering: Work hand in hand with the Woolworths at Work leadership to develop and translate strategic priorities into short and long term financial goals
Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Lead the annual strategic plan and monthly forecasting process
Commercial Insights & Analytics: Drive business performance through value-add analytics, specifically focusing on optimising Woolworths at Work financial results and tracking weekly KPIs
Financial Reporting & Storytelling: Own month-end, BPM, and quarterly reporting, delivering accurate financial commentary and 'storytelling'
Investment & Business Cases: Oversee business case development, capital advisory liaison, and post-implementation analysis
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership: Lead and develop a high-performing finance team while partnering across eComX and Retail units
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in commercial or operational finance
Team leadership and end-to-end management of month-end, forecasting, and budgeting
Proven ability to manage senior business relationships and drive transformation within fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and 'storyboarding' skills
A logical thinker with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment
Expert-level financial modeling and Excel skills
Hands-on experience using SAP, SAP BW, and IPA
University degree
A recognised professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, or equivalent)
