In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic financial leadership, ensure robust risk management, and maintain strong financial controls to support the achievement of World Courier’s strategic objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage all financial and accounting operations for Australia and New Zealand, ensuring effective, accurate, and compliant financial management
Develop and implement a Finance and Administration Strategic Plan in collaboration with Directors to achieve overall business goals
Oversee the budgeting process, working closely with Directors to prepare and execute the annual budget plan
Monitor and control costs to align with company budgets and financial targets
Manage monthly and annual financial reporting, statutory reporting, and management accounting to ensure accuracy and adherence to reporting timelines
Ensure compliance with all financial and business-related legislative requirements
Oversee internal and external audits to ensure accountability and compliance
Manage cash flow, banking requirements, and cash management processes
Maintain healthy accounts receivable, billing-to-invoice, and accounts payable processes
Lead, mentor, and support the finance team to achieve departmental objectives and foster professional growth
Requirements:
A tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent professional training
A minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in a finance-related role, including team management
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a multinational or complex business environment
Strong leadership abilities with a self-driven, proactive approach to mentoring and team development in a collaborative manner
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other relevant software
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and numerical abilities
Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
Exceptional analytical skills and a results-driven mindset
