IS Profit & Loss (P&L) directly impacts the Microsoft External financial reporting segment, your work as a finance leader will help the company decide how we optimize resource allocation and maximize Return on Investment (ROI) of the company's strategic asset. In this role, you'll act as the de facto chief Financial officer that manages the Americas region of ISD business, work side by side with the Americas IS Corporate Vice President and her team to deliver the full scope of financial outcomes of the business.

Job Responsibility

  • Deliver the P&L targets across top line and bottom line. Utilize finance processes for outlook, forecast and budget to guide business directions, highlight risks and opportunities and enforce business accountabilities toward financial outcomes.
  • Provide insight, advisory and decision support to IS business partners, help business leaders navigate day to day commercial and finance issues.
  • Act as steward for Microsoft shareholder value, constantly seek optimization of financial investment of IS for greater ROI.
  • Strategically collaborate with a wide range of business and finance stakeholders to drive synergy and efficiency in business and finance process.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of Business Partnering and/or Controllership experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • 2+ years of work experience in a matrix-based organization.
  • Professional Services and Consulting business experience.
  • Experience in multinational environments with multi-product and/or multi-segment finance roles.

Nice to have

Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 3+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 5+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
