To oversee the financial and management accounting functions for the group’s entities in France and the Netherlands, ensuring that financial resources are efficiently managed and safeguarded.
Job Responsibility:
Generate precise and timely management reports and statutory financial statements
Cultivate relationships with external advisors in tax, statutory reporting, and payroll
Supervise daily financial operations while updating and maintaining the control environment
Maintain robust internal controls and guarantee compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Develop and roll out financial policies and procedures
Act as a business partner to the wider French and Dutch operations
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes for various business units
Lead, manage, inspire, and cultivate the finance team
Collaborate with different departments
Oversee and assess the performance of team members
Support the acquisition and integration of future French businesses into the group
Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and legislation
Take on additional finance-related tasks and responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Significant experience in finance or accounting roles, including previous management experience and industry exposure
Familiarity with IFRS and French GAAP financial reporting standards
Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and their reviews
Excellent communication skills, both in person and via written and verbal communication
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage stress, and meet deadlines
Proactive mindset and a strong commitment to continuous improvement
Experience in line management
Fluency in French and the ability to communicate confidently in English
