The Finance Manager will lead a team of junior and senior associates who together will deliver a high-quality professional service to a portfolio of clients. The Finance Manager will assist the Structured Finance team in the ownership and management of ongoing client company service requirements and will report to a Director of Structured Finance. This role will support the Irish team in the preparation and review of management accounts, Financial Statements and ensuring tax compliance by these companies within their respective local regulatory regimes.
Job Responsibility:
Plan, organise and complete tasks to ensure client engagement requirements are met including adherence to monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines
Managing staff and assisting team development by providing guidance, training and mentoring, setting their goals and monitoring performance
Plan, organise and resource their team to ensure client engagement requirements are met
Continuously seek to improve and develop methods and processes with the key to making the team more effective and efficient
Work on a variety of clients such as SPVs, FVCs, aircraft leasing clients, railcars, barges, CLOs, retention vehicles, partnerships, property holding companies and CPOs
Perform and review regulatory reporting filing, tax reporting filing, quarterly and annual management accounts and year-end financial statements
Ensures all regulatory and compliance requirements are met for assigned portfolio of clients
Keep abreast with all financial reporting and regulatory changes
Actively leads and monitors team projects for the Structured Finance business unit
Follows Waystone Code of Conduct and leads by example
Ensuring the completion of the year end audits and other client requirements
Working with colleagues across the Waystone Group, ensuring effective collaboration, communication and development of solutions
Build and maintain excellent relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders
Adhere to internal procedures to meet professional standards, ensuring all learnings are completed on time and propose changes that can improve service delivery and quality
Assist in ad-hoc and project requirements as required by the Director
Escalation to the Director of any issues as they arise
Preparation/Review of board meeting packs and presentation at board meetings
Contribute to the delivery of the responsibilities of the team and work within a team including the training and supervision of junior team members
Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
University degree in accounting or business
A minimum of 2 years PQE in a similar Finance role
Experience managing people
Strong technical accounting skills including tax, financial reporting and financial statements
Previous use of accounts package such as Xero, Sage or SAP would be desirable
A high level of customer focus towards both internal and external customers
Be very organised and have excellent attention to detail
A quick learner and work at speed in a fast-paced environment
It is essential to be trustworthy and understand the need for confidentiality
Strong client services experience at management level within the structured finance industries/ corporate services
Team player and self-starting, with ability to use initiative and produce high quality output
Effective communication skills and adept at building relationships
Strong MS Office Skills with a focus on Excel
Ability/experience working in a fast-paced environment with outstanding time management, organizational, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail
Respect of different views, cultures, and methods with a willingness to embrace them
