Citadel Source are pleased to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a values-driven third sector organisation headquartered in central Bristol. This is a senior role within the finance function, created to support the Head of Finance and Finance Director and to strengthen financial control, reporting and governance, as well as supporting on driving further commercial insight as the organisation continues to evolve and grow. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key leadership role, ensuring high-quality financial information, strong compliance and continuous improvement across the finance function.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading the preparation and review of monthly Management Accounts, ensuring accuracy, insight and timely delivery
  • Managing and developing the Management Accounts team
  • Supporting with the budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
  • Preparing, reviewing and presenting management information, KPIs and performance insights to senior stakeholders
  • Providing financial insight, performance commentary and variance analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Acting as a key business partner, supporting decision-making across the organisation
  • Leading the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and supporting audit activity
  • Completing, reviewing and submitting regulatory and statutory returns
  • Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring strong financial control and integrity
  • Overseeing VAT compliance and providing guidance across the organisation
  • Managing rent setting and rent increase processes, ensuring transparency and compliance
  • Leading finance improvement and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and best practice
  • Acting as finance system champion, working with IT to optimise system use and controls
  • Supporting the Head of Finance and Finance Director with ad hoc analysis, queries and projects
