Job Description:

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you’ll lead the Senior Accountant and their team in managing financial reporting, compliance, and performance across major programmes and capital projects. WLWA’s financial strength and strategic approach enable the Authority to lead major capital investment programmes and deliver on complex public-private partnerships. As part of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape significant infrastructure projects and provide vital financial direction, supporting the delivery of sustainable waste solutions for the future of West London.

Job Responsibility:

Designing financial models and ROI tools to support strategic decision-making
Overseeing budget-setting, monthly reporting, and annual statutory accounts
Guiding senior managers on financial controls, audit, and governance
Leading internal and external audit processes, supporting risk management
Developing automated reporting systems and dashboards with MI
Deputising for the Director of Finance when needed

Requirements:

Fully qualified CCAB accountant (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent
Strong track record in strategic financial reporting and annual accounts delivery
Skilled in complex modelling, BI tools, and interpreting data for senior leaders
Experience leading, developing, and inspiring finance teams
Commercially minded, governance aware, and adept at process improvement
