As part of its next phase of accelerated growth, they are now seeking a commercially minded, hands-on Finance Manager to take ownership of the finance function. As the #1 in finance, you'll partner closely with the senior leadership team. You will play a key role in strengthening financial governance, enhancing robust financial controls, and delivering timely, insight-driven management information. Acting as a trusted finance business partner, you will support data-led decision-making across sales, merchandising, buying, and production, helping to drive profitability, cash flow optimisation, and sustainable growth in a dynamic, trend-driven environment.
Job Responsibility:
Produce quarterly management accounts, including stock, accruals, depreciation and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
Maintain accurate, well-reconciled ledgers in Xero
Support year-end accounts preparation with external accountants
Own end-to-end AP/AR process
Manage and reconcile team credit card expenses
Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
Manage foreign exchange exposure
Report into and reconcile invoice financing facilities
Requirements:
Experienced accountant with strong stock, management accounting and VAT experience
Exposure to international trade and foreign exchange
Minimum of 3 years' experience in SME, retail, FMCG, or equivalent
Strong AP, AR, reconciliation and cash flow management skills
Detail-oriented, adaptable and keen to grow
Nice to have:
Fashion, retail or FMCG experience
Experience with international trade, importing and foreign exchange
