Job Description:

Interim Finance Manager to lead a small, dedicated team supporting Adult Services for a London based Council. This is a key role ensuring strong financial management in a service that makes a real difference to the community.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and manage a small team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support
Deliver high-quality financial advice, planning, and analysis to service managers across Adult Services
Support the Head of Finance with overseeing budget setting, monitoring, forecasting, and financial reporting
Support strategic decision-making by providing clear, evidence-based financial insight
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, financial regulations, and best practice
Drive improvements in financial processes and systems to support efficiency and service outcomes

Requirements:

Qualified accountant
Strong financial management experience
Excellent people skills
Ability to influence at all levels
Experience in a similar role in Adult services in a Local Authority setting (essential)
