Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis for a manufacturing environment for one of our client's in Knoxville, Tennessee. This position will play a key role in guiding budgeting activities, strengthening internal controls, and providing leadership with clear financial insights that support business performance. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in cost accounting, forecasting, and compliance, along with the ability to partner effectively across business operations.
Job Responsibility
Lead the preparation and management of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans to support organizational goals
Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring financial results are accurate, timely, and aligned with reporting standards
Produce and analyze financial reports that provide leadership with meaningful insight into performance, risks, and opportunities
Develop cash flow projections and monitor liquidity to help maintain sound financial operations and planning
Partner with operational leaders to evaluate business performance, improve processes, and support informed decision-making
Manage manufacturing cost accounting activities, including cost analysis, inventory-related reporting, and variance review
Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and control procedures
Utilize SAP and related financial systems to support reporting, planning, and day-to-day finance operations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required
CPA designation preferred or strong equivalent accounting credentials
At least 7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
Demonstrated background in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and FP&A
Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing setting is required
Working knowledge of SAP and financial systems used for reporting and analysis
Strong understanding of compliance standards, internal controls, and SOX requirements
