Job Description:

Hands on Finance Manager required to join a well established business in Derby, managing and developing a small team, ensuring robust controls, accurate reporting and Business partnering with sales and operations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting across group entities including finance slides and commentary for monthly board deck with support of the Management Accountant
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Manage year-end processes and liaise with external auditors
  • Maintain 13 week cashflow forecast
  • Manage weekly trading deck preparation
  • Manage and develop a small finance team (AP, AR, Mgmt Accountant and junior finance staff)
  • Drive a high-performance culture with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and commercial awareness
  • Oversee financial systems and process improvements, including ERP and integrations
  • Maintain strong financial controls including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and risk management processes
  • Maintain efficient cash collections and control over retails and online cash receipts
  • Ensure accurate stock reporting across the business on a monthly basis
  • Support continuing development of finance systems where applicable
