Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Finance Manager to lead a busy Accounts Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven finance professional to take ownership of financial operations, manage a small team, and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership with operational accounting responsibilities . The role will be working Mon-Fri 9-5.30 on a hybrid basis.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and oversee the Accounts team to ensure accurate monthly management accounts are produced within agreed deadlines
  • Lead, train, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives
  • Ensure timely collection of debts in line with agreed terms
  • Oversee creditor payments, ensuring adherence to payment schedules
  • Take full ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Lead the annual audit process, working closely with the CFO
  • Liaise with senior stakeholders, directors, and external suppliers to maintain high service standards
  • Work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance with legal and accounting requirements

Requirements

  • Accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar system
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong cash flow management and control
  • Timely production of monthly and annual accounts
