We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager specializing in Statutory Accounting to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. In this role, you will oversee key accounting functions and ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting standards. Job Responsibility

  • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Manage the general ledger, maintaining accuracy and compliance with statutory accounting principles
  • Conduct detailed financial statement audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Oversee account reconciliations to confirm the integrity of financial data
  • Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial transactions
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Develop and maintain statutory financial statements in accordance with industry standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the organization's financial goals
  • Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency

Requirements

  • Proven experience in statutory accounting and financial reporting within the insurance industry
  • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger management
  • Expertise in preparing and auditing statutory financial statements
  • Proficiency in account reconciliation and journal entry preparation
  • In-depth understanding of statutory accounting principles and regulatory standards
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
