Job Responsibility

  • Own local statutory accounting and tax deliverables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Review tax calculations and approve tax payments prepared by external providers
  • Reconcile tax reports to the General Ledger and monitor recoverable/refund positions
  • Oversee payroll accounting in coordination with HR
  • Support internal control certification (IICC) and local control requirements
  • Prepare and/or review statutory financial statements per local GAAP and Amgen policies
  • Support month-end close, reconciliations, statutory audits, and key stakeholder interactions
  • Support cash flow, intercompany activities, accruals, and ad-hoc finance projects

  • Doctorate degree
  • OR Master's degree and 2 years of accounting/finance with statutory and tax exposure experience
  • OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years accounting/finance with statutory and tax exposure experience
  • OR Associate's degree and 8 years of accounting/finance with statutory and tax exposure experience
  • OR High school diploma / GED and 10 years of accounting/finance with statutory and tax exposure experience

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance with statutory and tax exposure
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional accounting certification (CPA/CA or equivalent)
  • Experience in a multinational environment
  • Strong knowledge of local GAAP and US GAAP
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (advanced Excel)
  • Fluency in English
  • Direct people management responsibility, including coaching, development, and performance management
  • Strong ownership, ability to work independently, and accountability for local deliverables
