Our client specializes in developing complex, tailor-made enterprise applications at lightning speed using industry-leading low-code platforms. By helping enterprises across Southeast Asia realize their digital transformation goals up to 10x faster than traditional programming, the business is currently in a massive growth phase. We are seeking a highly hands-on and self-driven Finance Manager to take full ownership of their finance and accounting functions.
Job Responsibility:
Manage full sets of accounts independently, encompassing Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)
Execute timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, alongside bank reconciliations and journal entries
Prepare comprehensive monthly management accounts, P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports in strict accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
Assist Management with annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and detailed variance analysis to support strategic business growth
Ensure absolute compliance with Malaysian tax requirements, including SST, Corporate Tax, and Withholding Tax
Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and relevant regulatory authorities
Monitor company cash flow closely, preparing regular projections to ensure optimal liquidity
Strategically manage payment planning, collection follow-ups, and working capital health
Establish practical financial SOPs, internal controls, and reporting frameworks suitable for a high-growth SME environment
Actively participate in the future recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring of finance team members, officially transitioning into team leadership as the department expands
Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA, or equivalent) are highly preferred
6 to 8 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably within a fast-paced SME or technology environment
Proven hands-on experience managing full finance operations independently
Strong technical knowledge of MFRS and Malaysian taxation
Strong Microsoft Excel capabilities
Experience with accounting systems such as Xero, AutoCount, or similar software is highly advantageous
A proactive self-starter who works well independently with minimal supervision
Meticulous attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills
Strategic mindset to build a department from the ground up
